A group of volunteers worked with John Phillips of JRPP TV to record the Landscapes of Remembrance Project and create this film.  This involved exploring memorials within the community, recording some of the meetings and training sessions, and recording some of the Remembrance Services that take place in York and surrounding areas.  It gave us the opportunity to explore what these memorials mean to people today.

As well as providing a valuable record of some of the sites and ceremonies, a number of people were able to develop their skills in filmmaking.

Filming at the war memorial at Salisbury Terrace, Leeman Road.

Local songwriter Paula Ryan wrote Oh My Blue Eyed One, that features in the film.  We are tremendously grateful to Paula for allowing us to incorporate this beautiful song into our film.  You can learn more about Paula at www.paularyan.co
